8th Annual iMedia Brand Summit Australia: Connecting with ‘Generation C’
Much is said about the many challenges brands face in marketing, advertising and selling to millennials (Generation Y), but too little is said about the challenges they are yet to recognize in connecting with Generation C (the hyper connected consumer).
Consumers are connected 24/7 by multiple devices yet are fundamentally inured to advertising and marketing messages, instead preferring to take the advice of friends, family and Facebook for product and service recommendations. Given this reality, how do brand marketers achieve cut through to connect with Gen C? What strategies and technologies do they need to be aware of or using to subtly wend their way in front of consumers who no longer care what they have to say?
That’s why this year’s iMedia Brand Summit will focus on showcasing a range of international and local keynotes and breakout sessions that reveal the many strategies and tactics brands are using to achieve cut through. It is both a highly collaborative and collegial event environment designed to provide an intimate setting for brand marketers to converge, debate and discuss the strategic issues they face.
Connect in Style
In 2014, the year’s iMedia Brand Summit moved locations to the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, IHG’s first Australian Intercontinental Resort and Queensland’s first InterContinental branded property. Located on the northern end of the Gold Coast, Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove resort boasts an elegant and stylish design inspired by the grandeur of a beautiful Queenslander. The 243 room resort is set amidst fountains, lush gardens, a marina, golf course and is home to a spectacular one acre beach lagoon.
