Simon moved to Australia in 2011 to head up the marketing team and all marketing operations across Asia Pacific for Electronic Arts (EA). His geographic portfolio includes markets as diverse as Greater China, South East Asia, Japan, Korea, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. He works on some of the world’s largest video game brands, including EA SPORTS FIFA, Battlefield, The Sims, Dragon Age, Plants vs Zombies and many more. His portfolio recently extended to marketing in mobile and online gaming in mainland China, Japan and Korea.

Heading up a compact team, all based out of Sydney, they deliver marketing and social content across multiple channels in 5 languages.

Prior to the move to the Southern Hemisphere, Simon was PR Director for EA in the United Kingdom, for their Northern Region markets (UK, Ireland, and Nordics).

Before his time at EA, Simon ran communications for Acclaim Entertainment across Europe and developed a reputation for a controversial approach to generating rapid word of mouth and notoriety long before established social media. He is most proud of this work even though it happened more than a decade ago and should probably stop talking about it now. Enough of the branded-pigeons and advertising on gravestones…!

His career spent in video games spans more than two decades, having first launched Mortal Kombat for Super Nintendo and Sega Megadrive on Mortal Monday September 13, way back in 1993.
